I am happy to announce that my album “Going My Way” is now available on all streaming platforms. If you always wanted to stream that album, go ahead and spin it! “Going My Way” is a wild ride through many different genres in between pop, rock and metal. The album has been recorded as online collaborations with 21 musicians. It’s one of my favourite albums, because it truly reflects my skills in songwriting, arrangement and production. “Going My Way” is the beginning of a new chapter, a chapter, where I’m not only tweaking knobs and automations in my DAW, but also play real instruments, write arrangements for full bands, contribute lyrics and co-write with talented folks all over the globe. It has been such a treat to work with so many talented musicians. Big shoutout to David Taro, Nate Gerry, Chad Lenig, I AM MEADOWS, Kelly Best, Roman Wreden, Michael Karns, Jason Challis, Garrett Kirby, Jordan Hirsch, Simon Ashby, Stefan Hartl, Gammafied, Caitlin Sigler, Kate Stanton, Rich Brewer, Ben Kohr, Alex Pinheiro, Stephan Kösters and Robert Cooperider (in no particular order). You will find many of these names in my later works! I highly encourage you to join the Bandcamp listening party tonight 8pm CEST and have a chit-chat with us. If you don’t find the time, you can find the album on all platforms. Here is a preview video on YouTube:

New Year’s Eve is full of delicious dishes, and I can hardly tell which one is my favourite. There is a special dish that hits you differently. I chopped some beats and fried the vocals with a very tasty guitar riff. This stir-fry will hit you harder than you are able to chop veggies! The whole fuzz started because of the ambiguity of the word “fry” in cooking and screaming. Metalheads will know the reference to a great song, which is definitely not about cooking. I love what I cooked here and like to thank hobby chef and guitarist Dan Vaillancourt who turned my weirdest ideas into shredding guitars, even adding a super cool solo, I have never heard before. Remember, a stir-fry is best served while warm. Get your chopsticks and bang your head. I bet you cannot get enough of it. As usual, you can listen to the song on YouTube and SoundCloud. Happy New Year!

Do you like nu metal? In case you thought it’s some old and forgotten music from the 2000s, it’s time to wake up. “Nuff Said” has catchy riffs, new sounds and a meaningful lyric. You have to listen to that song if you enjoyed “Where does it end?”. Some months ago, I felt inspired to write a nu metal song. I started with a riff in a weird scale that is repeated all over the song. Ampersandman helped me to record the instrumental and lend his voice for the chorus. Of course, there are enough topics we’re fed up with, but we didn’t want to push the song into a political direction. We are happy that Brett Anthony joined us as a rapper and brought meaningful lyrics into the collaboration. Fight your inner demons, that are dragging you down! After months of intense work, “Nuff Said” has been finished and is now available on SoundCloud and YouTube. Don’t miss this song if you enjoyed “Where does it end?”. It definitely good the same vibe and style, but the message is positive. Stay strong!

In the last couple of months, I have been involved in an international full band collaboration. We started as a jam session and ended with a nu metal track called “Heavy Jam”. “Heavy Jam” is a good example of what can happen when musicians from all over the world meet and put their influences into a melting pot. Nahlej, who has a background in alternative hip hop and lo-fi music, sent me a guitar and bass jam. Rearranging his stems, I added my alternative rock and metal influence to push the instrumentation further to nu metal. A style I wanted to try since the early 2000s. Later, Simon, who is rooted in blues rock and hard rock helped me with the heavy riffs added his own flavour in the solos and licks. Last but not least, StevieJ added lyrics and rap to our song and created the missing link to our working title “Heavy Jam”. While I considered this title to be a working title for a jam session (improvisation) for a heavy song, StevieJ interpreted it as a mental state of somebody who’s dealing with low self-esteem or mental health issues. All thoughts running through a depression or anxiety loaded mind create a sticky, heavy jam. But instead of fixing the issue, they’d prefer to take tablets and smoke their way through this. As usual, the song is available on YouTube and SoundCloud. Just click onto the picture. The artwork has been generated with DALL E 2, but I invested some work cleaning it up and adding details with a graphics tablet. We looked for something modern and expressionistic, that I couldn’t draw. If you’re deeper into art, you will know why this picture has a crown and leaves.

Some situations in life are so worse, that the only question you’re asking is: Where does it end? This is the title of my banging metal song about not being able to deal with your situation properly. “Where does it end?” is a musical novelty for all people involved. Everything stated with some lyrics with tons of triple rhymes and a broken guitar arpeggio. I never used synthesizers in a rock or metal song, but when I did, I had the urge to cut and destroy them. This sounded so cool, that it became the post-chorus. Stefan’s guitar recordings pushed the song into metal. But also in terms of vocals, this song shows a very different side of us. The verses are close to spoken rap, whereas the chorus show David’s heavy rock voice. I didn’t plan to add vocals, but he convinced me to scream in the middle eight. “Where does it end?” is a heavy blend of alternative rock, metalcore and trance that reminds a bit of good old 2000s nu metal, though the ingredients are different. You won’t be able to listen to this song without banging your head! Don’t let frustration bring you down and keep on rocking! You can listen to our song on YouTube or SoundCloud. Please support us by downloading or buying my album “Going My Way” on Bandcamp.
