If you enjoy 80s synth pop, you will fall in love with our calm and sad song “No Difference”. Steady electronic rhythms and old school synthesizers meet emotional vocals. Our song is now available on all platforms. As I’m pretty loaded with collaborations and open projects, I decided to write lyrics. So I had a deeper look into SHUENs profile to have an idea about the topics and atmosphere. That’s where I ended up writing something about somebody who is indifferent to everything. He came back with a crazy good synth pop sound, and a very catchy melody. Our song is now available on all platforms.

Who are we when everything we create and share exists only online? This song drifts between connection and emptiness, exploring social media escapism and digital isolation. Some months ago, I wrote a haunting instrumental that needed a topliner. So happy that Jay El Dee was interested in writing something for Halloween. Her unusual take of discussing the emptiness of social media takes the tradition of haunting songs into a new era. In this arrangement, you can hear all kind of strange synthesizers, interwoven with eerie ad-libs and thought-provoking lyrics. If you enjoy this kind of jam, don’t forget to visit Jay El Dee’s discography – she writes a lot about modern life and conflicts. As usual, you can find our new song on YouTube and all streaming platforms. Have a great Halloween!

Remastering my discography for re-releasing, I found 10 songs, that are not part of any albums yet. Time to compile another volume of b-sides: Electro Static! It is fascinating to listen to your whole discography. I wrote more than 300 songs in 20 years, and still find some gems that I almost forgot. “Electro Static” is a compilation of songs that have been written in my transition phase. I was not feeling electronic music any more, but did not have the skills for handmade music, so I tried my best to produce pop and rock music with electronic instruments. This led to the name of this album, which is inspired by electronic music, electrical currents and being stuck. If you listen closely to this album you may figure out that “Needless” is the only song with real guitars. I decided to put it onto this album though, because we still have plenty of synths. My personal favourites are “Seven days to live” and “So what you rock”. Listen to this album if you enjoy electro pop or electro punk. We’re all between that. As usual you can find the album preview on YouTube. “Electro Static” is now available on all streaming platforms. I highly recommend purchasing the album on Bandcamp, though. I’m also hosting a Bandcamp listening party on Saturday, August 2nd, 8pm Central European Time.

My upcoming album “Nightflight” will be released on May 2nd. As a warm-up, I decided to publish “Aeronaut” as the second single. This song is a blend of synthwave and dream dance, that will make you dive through the sky. Last week, I introduced my song “Nocturnal” and its incredible journey from a floppy disk. Another favourite song from my upcoming album is “Aeronaut”. Synthesizers from the 80s meet beats from the 90s. This nostalgic journey feels like a long flight, which is why I called this song “Aeronaut”. I asked some of my remix friends to contribute a remix, and DJ Kenneth A, who did an awesome remix to “What I’ve been missing” said yes. His remix pushes my song into a very cinematic direction, I absolutely love it. Today, I am lucky to announce that “Aeronaut” is now available on streaming services and in my Bandcamp subscription. I highly encourage you to pre-save my album “Nightflight” either on streaming services or on Bandcamp. I will also host a Bandcamp listening party on May 3rd, around 8pm CEST. Please come, if you want to chat with me about the background of all these songs.

Like trapped in a machine, every day feels like a program. “Perpetual Machine” is a synth pop song about a dystopian society. When Lemonbrew sent me a synth pop instrumental, I couldn’t wait to hear it finished. Great soudndesign, great beat and a complex structure. This song inspired me to write an abstract lyric about a dystopian future. Together with Flinn we wrote “Perpetual Machine”, that deals with a future lacking of individualism. As Lemonbrew has been the main author of this song, we decided to split the uploads. You can find the song on his SoundCloud account and my YouTube account. We hope that you enjoy the song the same way we do.
