Embrace the Storm

I wander through the forest
Waiting for the sun
The leaves are crumbling
To dust beneath my feet

The moon shrouded behind
Clouds are as dark as omens
I want to run away
But I will not retreat

I have just begun to leave the well-worn path
Time to take all of the chances that I can
There is no future in remaining who I am

And I cannot escape the harbingers of change
The wind is pulling me where few have ever gone
There’s no answer, only different kinds of questions,
I will be blind until the coming of the dawn

The pines are bracing for a sky of fear
The lightning flashes thunder fills the atmosphere

I’m trembling
And my spirit knows it will transform
And I must embrace the storm

Then the hush descends
The aftermath of war
I am not who I was before
